System and security
Send branded store messages with Shopently Mail or your own SMTP while keeping templates and delivery history in one place.
Purpose
Send store email with Shopently Mail or your own SMTP, configure a sender domain with two DKIM aliases, and manage templates and delivery history.
How it works
- When the simplified setup is available, your sender domain uses two stable DKIM CNAME records pointing to the dkim.shopently.com zone.
- Shopently manages the keys and the technical Return-Path at return.shopently.com. You do not add MX or SPF records for it.
- You keep control of your DNS zone. Shopently does not change your domain’s MX, SPF or DMARC records.
- Existing domains keep their current setup. When migration becomes available in the dashboard, starting it will remain optional.
- Existing custom SMTP settings remain available, with encrypted credentials.
- Edit message templates and review recent delivery statuses in the dashboard.
Step-by-step configuration
- Open Settings and go to Email.
- Choose Shopently Mail or your existing custom SMTP connection.
- If the dashboard shows the simplified setup, add exactly the two CNAME records and start verification. Do not configure an additional MX, SPF or Return-Path.
- Customize message templates and assign them to order statuses.
